Listening to that song I can't avoid butterflies in my stomach. Especially now that we've just received the plane tickets to paradise. It's going to be hard waiting for November, at the same time I know time will pass in a blink of an eye. I do not wish to say where we're going; I am a little supersticious and I don't want anything to go wrong before the trip. I can tell you it's not *this place*, but I'm hoping it will feel just as perfect. (One thing is for sure; where we are going it's going to be a lot darker at 11p.m. than in these photos I took the other night. The atmosphere, though, I'm hoping to be the same.)
Tuota kappaletta kuunnellessani saan perhosia vatsaani. Nyt varsinkin, kun olemme juuri saaneet lentoliput paratiisiin. Edessä on pitkä odotus marraskuuhun, vaikka tiedänkin sen lopulta menevän silmänräpäyksessä. En halua kertoa minne olemme lähdössä; olen vähän taikauskoinen, enkä tahtoisi minkään menevän pieleen ennen matkaa. Sen voin kertoa, että kyseessä ei ole *tämä paikka*, mutta toivon reissun olevan vähintään yhtä täydellinen. (Yksi asia on varmaa; matkakohteessamme on yhdeltätoista illalla paljon pimeämpää, kuin näissä toissaillan kuvissa. Tunnelman toivon silti olevan samanlainen.)
Se on muuten ihana tunne, kun takataskussa on lentoliput. Odotus on jotenkin jo puolet matkaa. Joten hyvää odotusta!

Fiona - Oh you are so right about the word verification!! I really hate it, too, but I don't know how to get rid of it. I've been trying through the settings and the only place related to it will not turn it off anyhow. If you can help me out, I'd be forever grateful! :)

PoistaYes, I'm planning on getting a new camera, but I decided to keep the old one for a little longer. I don't want to sell it until I have the new one in my hands, which could take until late autumn. :)

Minä olen myös todella taikauskoinen matkojen suhteen, enkä uskalla niistä etukäteen puhua kuin aivan lähimmille ennen matkaa. Jotenkin tuntuu, että jos alkaisin reissusta puhumaan hyvin aikaisin tai paljon, tai liian monelle, jotain menisikin yhtäkkiä pieleen ja matka peruuntuisi. Hölmöähän se on... mutten silti halua riskeerata! :D Tarkalleen ottaen 3,5kuukautta täytyisi odotella, lähtöpäivä osuu lokakuun puolelle! :)

Menthe Blanche - Somehow I prefer pitch black nights, but when I took these photos there was a magical moment of strange orange gloom in the middle of the gray, rainy evening. I, too, thought it was special.
